Volunteer Job Descriptions


Walking Scorer

  • Volunteers walk 18 holes with a selected group, tracking their scores on an electronic device.
  • Golf experience is helpful but not necessary.


Leaderboards

  • Volunteers are used to update leaderboards throughout the golf course.
  • No experience is necessary.


Standard Bearer

  • Volunteers walk 18 holes with a selected group, carrying and updating a small group scoreboard (a standard).
  • No experience is necessary.


Marshal

  • Volunteers are used for ball spotting, traffic control and noise control throughout the golf course.
  • No experience is necessary.


Transportation (Driver)

  • Volunteers are provided with a vehicle to transport players to the golf course and host hotel.
  • Volunteers must have a valid drivers license.


Player Services

  • Volunteers assist with the check-in of players on Monday and Tuesday of Tournament week.


Hospitality (Pro-Am and VIP Hospitality)

  • Assisting with the check-in of guests at the Pro-Am on Tuesday.
  • Assisting with the check-in of guests at the VIP area from Thursday to Sunday.


Operations

  • Assisting with the course set-up prior to the tournament and take down on the final day (Sunday).
  • Some heavy lifting required.
  • Supplying and maintaining the golf course with bottled water and fruit throughout the week.


Volunteer Services

  • Checking in and managing volunteers in volunteer central.
  • No experience is necessary.
